Dinner is pushed aside onto the coffee table. Newt's voice wavers, but he tries to be strong, tries not to think about this horrible need to throw up because of stress (which is probably partly Hermann's thought), tries not to want to cry or give up because they didn't give up when it was Kaiju and the Russians are such small potatoes in comparison, but how is science supposed to do anything?
"We don't give up, Hermann, we don't know HOW to give up. We'll- We'll try again. Tomorrow. After you've rested. Or we'll try something else. We'll keep trying, every day, until we get it right. It's not on you, dude. Don't shoulder it like it is. We're gonna do this."
